Acierto leads the SHS Graduates

Leading this year’s graduates, Jana Mae Acierto of the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics garnered a General Weighted Average of 95 making her as the With High Honors of her batch for the School Year 2018-2019 of Western Cagayan School of Arts and Trades.

Acierto who is from Calapangan, Lasam has been a consistent honor student from grade 7 to grade 10 at  Abariongan National  High School. She has proven her wit during her Senior High School days when she joins in various contested activities of the school be it in academics or socio-cultural endeavor in academics or socio-cultural endeavours.

“Leading the group of this year’s  graduates is a feeling of gratefulness and contentment Because I have reaped what I sow. With this, I am thankful to all the people who help me to be who I am now and especially to God. Without him I won’t be here,” Acierto exclaimed.

This year, the Senior High School Department produces 75  students who will graduate with flying colors which is greater than the previous school year with 35 honor students.

 

 

de Jesus, Laderas top in their class

Anne Breechie L. de Jesus, 10- Einstein, from the Science, Technology and Engineering Program and Christian Joseph Laderas, 10- Emerald, topped in their class as Junior High School Completers for the Moving Up Ceremony on April 02, 2019 with the theme: Unity in Diversity: Quality Education for All.”

Led by de Jesus and Laderas, the 265 Junior High School completers of Western Cagayan School of Arts and Trades marched on the stage to receive their certificates and medals in recognition of their achievements for the School Year 2018-2019.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Diana Quebral, the guest speaker of the endeavour, said that everyone should look upon their goals and must focus on that objective in order to succeed. She further emphasized that once the goal is set, one should focus and never give up and urged the parents to support their children in achieving their dreams and the teachers to become more innovative in teaching,” she disclosed.

Rodillas: New SSG President

Earning the students’ trust both from the Junior High School and Senior High School Department, Mark Jhellico Rodillas won as the new President of the Supreme Student Government (SSG) during the election of officers last February 15, 2019 for the School Year 2019-2020.

Meanwhile, the newly elected student officials of the said organization are as follows: Vice President: HairaMae Garcia, Secretary: Ydellwish Jane Cortez, Treasurer: Khrystal Mae Ibuos, Auditor: Zyrene Dionicio, PIO: Juliana Del Rosario, Business Manager: Justine Bura, Peace Officer: LanderViernes Representatives:, Zychie Agatep from Grade 8, Maxene Soriano from Grade 9, Ariane Jurado from Grade 10, Sarah Magulod from Grade 11, and Ivy Jane Lopez from Grade 12.

“Passing the torch of responsibility to my successors is an overwhelming feeling. I am hoping that these new sets of leader shall find the purpose of their duty for them to act well. Finally, they should also act not just a leader but also a follower,” Eloisa Reyes, the outgoing SSG President concluded.

The new set of officers was chosen to sustain the school’s advocacy starting from the peace and order, cleanliness and program development leading all Tradeans for the common and civic good.
